Nicole Kidman regrets Botox

Nicole Kidman regrets Botox
Nicole Kidman regrets Botox. Actress Nicole Kidman, 43, has finally confirmed what many already knew: She used Botox to smooth away wrinkles. For years, she denied it. Now she simultaneously admits she wasn’t telling the truth previously and says that she has stopped using the drug, which is made by Irvine-based Allergan.

In an interview with the German magazine TV Movie, Kidman says she used Botox but “I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards.”

“Now I don’t use it anymore — I can move my forehead again!” she says.

As for other ways of fighting wrinkles, Kidman says that “aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference.”"

Nicole Kidman’s performance in the film “Rabbit Hole” earned her a Golden Globe nomination for this coming Sunday night’s ceremony.

Her director in that film, John Cameron Mitchell, says, “She hasn’t been under the knife. I don’t know anything about Botox, but she certainly wasn’t doing it in our film.”

Previously, Kidman told Marie Claire magazine:

“To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that.”

But Botox specialist Dr. Martin Braun of Vancouver, British Columbia, uses Kidman’s photos in talks to medical audiences where he discusses how to use the dilute toxin to freeze particular facial muscles so the eyebrows become arched.

“Her brow, of course, is Botoxed to give it that flare,” he said. An arched eyebrow is a frequent side effect of Botox use, especially when used in a heavy dose.

In 2008, TV personality Sharon Osbourne took Kidman to task for her denials, saying that Kidman’s forehead was like a “flatscreen TV.”

Plastic surgeon/blogger Dr. Tony Youn noted that Kidman’s eyebrows seemed less arched during her pregnancy, presumably because she had skipped Botox injections for the sake of her baby.
